Crank angle sensor setup confusion!!

hey guys, i have a question regarding crank angle sensor setup.

currently i am running a 4agze CAS on a 16v 4age cylinder head, i am wanting to delete this CAS completely, and block up the hole for exhaust header access. If i mount a trigger wheel and sensor of the front balancer, am i required to run a sensor of the exhaust cam pulley to reference sync, and how do i set the ignition timing at idle with no physical way now of doing this. Is what i am trying to achieve possible?

I am running an M4, the engine currently runs 4 individual nissan s13 coil on plugs and a bosch 4 channel ignition module, and i am running them sequentially using IGN and AUX outputs, which i am going to change to and IEX that i have purchased.

can anyone help?

Brad

Hi Brad,
To run the engine sequentially you need a trigger pattern that is specific to 720 degrees, so if you have a crank sensor that only gives a pattern for 360 degrees then you will also need a single tooth on one of the cams...between the two you get your 720 degree pattern.

Not really sure why you would now not have any way of checking the timing.....? Did you remove the timing mark or something?

thankyou mark,
since posting, i had done a little further investigation and had discovered exactly what you have said with running a single tooth off the camshaft.thankyou for you reply.
