Postby aurinkola on Sun Dec 06, 2009 4:32 am

Hello everybody
I just received Motec MEC17 pn 42014 inductive coils. Could You help me with the dwell times. In the box was just wiring info. I run M4 with Bosch two channel inductive amplifier. Two cylinders, two-stroke.

Do you mean MEC717? Having the correct part number will get a quicker response.

This should work in a M400/600/800 for M4/M4-8/M8 use the 15V value as the single entry

Volts Bat Comp (msec)
8 8.3
9 6.2
10 5.1
11 4.1
12 3.6
13 3.2
14 2.9
15 2.7

Tank You very much for the info. Indeed it is MEC717. I have pro version, so I can adjust different values for different rpm areas. Later after dyno I will change to CDI to see if more torque would come with better spark. Two-stroke sparks douple compared to four-stroke. My idea is that 10000 reving two-stroke with inductive ignition is very near its spark limit.
