IEX weak or no spark

Postby Blu302 on Sat Jun 02, 2018 4:24 pm

HI All,

I have just fitted an IEX to an M54B25 engine that was running previously on direct fire straight from the M800.
If I go back to a direct connection to the M800 the engine runs, reconnect the IEX and the engine won't start.
I have checked the wiring many times and checked a new ground.

It seems like it is giving weak spark on cranking as the WBO2 sensors move around as I adjust fuel to get it to fire while cranking. Could the IEX need a different CRIP? Dwell?

Any ideas appreciated.

The IEX drives the modules differently, so you should check the coil current to see is the dwell curve is correct
