Is there a way to get the SLM to flash once a specified rpm is reached (running on CAN from SDL)? Maybe I have been watching too much F1 but it seems like a helpful feature. I have looked but if its there I have missed it. Please don't tell me I need to get an ADL2 to have this feature

Yes just configure it using a Shift Light.

Dash Manager>Functions>Shift Light Module>ADD>Patter Mode Shift Light>Activate Pattern at xxxx RPM.

Setup a 2d table to make a GP on/off channel = 1 when the RPM is reached. Now you can Activate/deactivate (user conditions) a channel driving you SLM condition if this channel is true for a certain time, and then deactivating after the time has elapsed that you want the LED on for.

Martin,

Do you have example of this is an SDL configuration file ?

IJ,
I did look at your suggestion and as far as I can tell the SLM control from the SDL does not address flashing. Please tell me why I am wrong.

Sorry KB I misread your question, so you want a light to flash xx times once you hit yyyy rpm?

Or do you want it to flash once?

Hmm

I know I asked MoTeC a while back to include flashing as part of the SDL as it very useful..

wonder what happened to that request...

here we go.

Flash is a part of the soon to be released SDL3 SLM setup.

I doubt that it will be back ported to SDL.
