Would it be a problem if an SLM is fitted in a single seater car and it will be open to rain?

Something I can actually help with ;)

The SLM's are potted in epoxy so I can't see water being an issue Martin!

Thanks IJ,

Thing is...the back end is all potted...but what about the front?
Wont water seep in underneath the LED`s and corrode its legs?

Who have stripped their SLMs? :)

I'd assume the epoxy is right to the backs of the LED's (doesn't really make much sense doing it otherwise if they're trying to stop failures due to vibration)

When I mounted mine I wanted to remove it from the case that's when I found it's a one piece SLM ;)

Ended up building it into the dash.

If the potting mix has not leaked out past the leds, I cant see how water can get in!
