Would it be a problem if an SLM is fitted in a single seater car and it will be open to rain?

Something I can actually help with
The SLM's are potted in epoxy so I can't see water being an issue Martin!

Thanks IJ,
Thing is...the back end is all potted...but what about the front? Wont water seep in underneath the LED`s and corrode its legs?
Who have stripped their SLMs?

I'd assume the epoxy is right to the backs of the LED's (doesn't really make much sense doing it otherwise if they're trying to stop failures due to vibration)
When I mounted mine I wanted to remove it from the case that's when I found it's a one piece SLM
Ended up building it into the dash.

If the potting mix has not leaked out past the leds, I cant see how water can get in!
