SLM on/off switch

This could be a dumb question but is it possible to add a switch on the earth cable to the SLM so as i can turn it off/on when i like and not affect anything ?

Yes you can do this although the conventional way would be to add the switch to SLM +12V power.

you could also use the SLM brighness channel and a toggle to turn the lights off.
