setting up SLM on M800

Postby C4a0s on Sat Feb 14, 2009 7:52 pm

hi all,

i recently purchased a SLM (yay!! )and hooked it up to my M800 (spending quite some time to fabricate the wires and using the black heat shrink thingy to make everything as professional as the SLM wires, yes i'm a perfectionist :geek: ). however when i tried to test it using the SLM table and rpm as the Y-axis, nothing happened.

then i realised that there is a "Adjust/General Setup/Communications/CAN Setup"

are we supposed to set it up here? cos mine is blank and previously i just used the CAN for USB connection to my laptop.

if so, can we just use any channel for SLM transmit? Data would be, 13 and Address would be...41?

help pls

I have mine plugged into an SDL and if you like it on the 800 you'll go nuts over what it can do on the dash :)

Brake fail
High Beam
Left turn
Right turn
Park brake
Rev Limiter
WB Trim rich max
WB Trim lean max
Methanol Injection active

All with their own patterns/colours and brightness and dimming with the headlights on.

C4a0s

no no no.

The SDL is what IJ is talking about.

The ADL2/ACL goes even FURTHER in the SLM control.!

The SDL should be cheaper than the m800. The ADl2 on the other hand is quite pricey!
