SLM for lap timing?

Postby hamer on Sat Jul 08, 2023 7:33 am

My rider asked if we can use the lights on the C125 to indicate lap timing?

This is the functionality I was thinking:

Track is segmented into 3 sections
Use the right 3 lights to indicate faster or slower than the last lap (or fastest)?
Solid green indicates faster segment, red indicates slower.
All 3 flash green or red for 3 seconds if the over all lap is faster or slower.

Is this possible?

Thank you!

It would be easier to just configure the lights with some conditions based on the "Lap Gain/Loss Running". Much harder to have fixed segments as you describe -- real time through the lap is already being calculated for you. You may wish to consider using a display with a bar-graph and putting that channel there. I recently discovered, that if you only define one bar graph in a display for two of them, it will create a larger bar graph filling both spaces. Exactly what you may want.
