Keypad help needed

Postby DynoDom on Fri Sep 08, 2023 3:10 am

Hello

I am having difficulties connecting a single keypad to PDM30. This is a fresh install and it is the first time for me to deal with these components.

PDM30 communicating with UTC fine. 15 button keypad connected to the bus, no other devices attached to the bus. The keypad is powered with 12 volts, polarities of power supply and CANbus are correct.

I select the keypad configuration tool within the PDM manager, gateway is found and I select either 500 or 250 Kbps. Unfortunately, connecting to the pad remains unsuccessful.

Perhaps I am missing a step. Could someone help me with guidance ?

Thank you in advance

MoTeC keypads are configured for 1 Mbit/sec baud rate. Why would you change it?

The Keypads have a different pinout to the regular MoTeC pinout, has this been checked? In the Global Setup window of PDM Manager, do you have the Keypad activated? If this isn't ticked on, then no wakeup message is sent to the keypad on power on.
