Booster Fuel Pump Control

Postby Merlin on Mon Oct 24, 2022 10:40 pm

Hi All

I'm having a mental block with this one

(Output) Fuel Pump
I need it to Run for 10 seconds when (switch Input) Ignition is True ...then not reset and run again until (switch Input) Ignition toggled off then on

Reason
Car has mechanical pump ..also has electric pump to get Fuel pressure up to start then not required to run and we don't want it to start again until we toggle the Ignition switch

I'm having a mental block on making this work ... I bet there is more than one way to do this

Hi John

maybe use the 'pulse' condition for 10 seconds when the ignition input is true,
the same sort of thing as fuel pump prime, or if you have rpm coming into
the PDM you could set the fuel pump output to operate between say 50 and 1500 RPM,
this way the pump kicks in if the RPM drops and the mechanical pump falls out
of its operating range, attached file might help
