Hi, Again..
The PDM transmits (via CAN) the status of each of its outputs. The value corrosponds to the channels status.
0=Off
1=Active
2=Over current shutdown ( I assume the load value for the has exceeded 100%)
4=Fault Shutdown ( I assume this is if there is an interanl error, driver over temp etc..)
We monitor these values at the ADL and trigger an alarm to inform the driver of what device has had an over current problem. The PDM can be set to retry the output a given number of times.
However...
The status value is given as 2 each time the output goes 'over current' but you do not know if the PDM is going to automatically retry the output or has reached the end of the retry sequence.
I would like to request an Status Value of 3, this would indicated the PDM has finished the retry sequence and has turn the output off permanently ( unless the Master Reset button is pressed, or power is cycled)
Cheers, J. ( I live in optimistic times! )
