Hi

I have a car with M400, PDM15, Keypad and CDL3.
The CDL3 and the keypad have power from the same output on the PDM.
The output gets active when the PDM battery power is greater than 1 volt(Main switch is on).
I have a 3 sec delay on before the output gets lo.

When I cranck the engine the dash lose power and restarts,
Why does this happen??

Regards
AF

What is the battery voltage when you are cranking the engine? If you monitor the PDM while you are cranking does the output for the dash stay active?

Hi

When I Crank the output is green all the time.
The dash comes back during cranking if the engine dont start at once.
If I just touch the start button the dash restarts (also the gear indicator that is on the same channel).
I have not logged the volt but it must bee higer than 1 volt!

If the output is active the whole time then the PDM is not shutting the dash off. It sounds like you have some sort of voltage issue. It is possible that the voltage drops very low for a very short period of time when you first press the start button. This is enough to reset the dash where as the PDM is a bit more resilient to these short voltage spikes so continues operating.

You could try using a multimeter to measure the battery voltage and see what it gets down to when you first hit the start button but it may not update fast enough. You would probably be better off using a scope if you have one.
