Summit Raptor Pro Interface to PDM

Postby atphillips on Mon Oct 07, 2019 3:04 am

I am installing a Summit Raptor Pro Steering Wheel Interface unit to control the output's on the Motec PDM's. There is an option on the unit to switch from +12V Output to a 5V Logic. I would like to know if anybody has done this configuration before and will it still require a 1500ohm 0.25W pull down resistor ?

I have had some quick emails with Summit racing and they said the resistor is not required, but i'm not so sure.

Hi,

I haven't used one of these products, but from a quick read through of the available information on the unit, there should be no issue using it in either of the switching options.

I used the 5V logic on one I wired up to a PDM a couple of years ago and it worked.
