M130 CAN switch from PDM15

Postby yorl on Wed Jul 26, 2017 7:01 am

I am working on a car with M130, 8 position panel and a PDM 15. I have 2 switches on that panel that I am having trouble setting up (everything else works), one is the ALS and the other launch. The way I have it, when I activate either one, I see 0.001V on "Driver Switch", so nothing happens. Once they're off, it goes to 0. everything else works, but I'm lost with those two.
Also, can I have a function to turn on Fuel pump 2 (wired to the PDM but with no switch) if fuel pressure drops?

Thanks

Hi,

To send a switch directly to the M1 from the PDM, setup the messaging the following way.

On the PDM.

The CAN Address used must match the CAN receive in the M1.

On the M1.

This will transmit a message of 256 to the M1, this is read as 0.256V when active, and 0.000V when off. If the Hysteresis and Threshold values are set as shown, then the switch will work.

The Transmitted message must be on the even channel to get the higher number, if it is on a uneven channel, then the message transmitted will be 0.001V
