SDL as rally odo

Postby Martin on Tue Mar 17, 2009 7:39 am

Would Motec be able to give us the functionality to use a SDL as an ODO in a rally car?

It must be able to show Total distance, split distance, fuel remaining, speed, and all the reglular odo functions. What would be great is the fact that it can double as a warning display, drive and SLM and share data with other devices over CAN and even get its speed and distance from a GPS so speed sensors are needed!

Maybe somebody else also need this?

Thanks

Martin,
we do already see this as a requirement and have gone a way down this track. The software lets you do a portion of this already, but we intend to make a special rally trip computer mode for the SDL. It is fairly high up the priority list, so I would suggest you will see it on not too long...

regards

I drove it all Summer Wayne ;)

Decided on a new direction and added some more MoTeC goodness.

It is still in the design point at present, making sure that we cover off all the required features, so I wouldnt expect to see it before Q4 2009...
