Filter function in Channel Maths

Hi - for the ‘filter’ function in Channel Maths, what does the constant do? Is it a number of milliseconds over which the channel is averaged? Or a number samples from the channel that are averaged?

Hi Jon,

The filter constant is just a number, bigger the number the more filtering etc.

I have attached a spread sheet that shows you exactly how it is calculated. If you change the 'Fc' parameter it will show you what affect different constant values have on the output to a step function.
