SDL Setup and communication HELP!

Postby Pascal on Fri Jan 02, 2009 11:30 pm

I am not very good with SDL connections so i need one small help. Can i setup SDL without USB cable on the SDL? I mean, trough CAN connection from M800? Can i send first setup?

Thanks!

Yes you can.

I've just installed mine and this is exactly how I run it.

Only downside is that you can only run each software on it's own ie: either Dash Manager or ECU manager not both at the same time.

Dear IJ, thanks for help. I need to use SDL only as screen, logging, lambda's'n'stuff will go trough M800. My problem is that i dont see my data's from ECU on the SDL. I am connected trough CAN and i have setting on CAN setup for SDL as follow's:

CAN 0 Data 1
CAN 0 Address 1520
CAN Transf. Rate 50

This is my settings. I think that i am missing something but not sure. Thanks very much for help!

Did you tell the SDL to listen for it at it's end Pascal?

Dash Manager/Inputs/Communication/Can 1/Select Template/M800 to suit which software version you're using.

Don't feel bad Pascal I blunder from one mistake to the next all the time here but in the end I usually get a result one way or another :)

I'm VERY impressed with the SDL in general it's a great piece of gear and perfect for what I wanted/needed.
