SDL3+M800+Pro Analysis?

Postby Mr.J on Mon Jul 18, 2011 5:52 am

Do I have to have Pro Analysis enabled in both SDL3 and M800 to be able to use the M800 dataflow that is logged in the SDL3?

I think do it only on the SDL... You have all the engine stuff going there and whatever else is headed that way, plus more memory there.

No you dont.

Just send all channels that you wish to datalog from the M800 to the SDL. Use the SDL to log all of these parameters, and all of this info will appear in i2 pro.

I you have logging downloaded from your M800 directly, this will be only i2 standard.

Amazingly I was going to post an almost identical question. This almost answers mine, but not quite. I was about to get Pro Logging enabled on my M800 with 1 meg logging already enabled. When funds permit I was going to get either an ADL3, an EDL3, or a used ACL and a VIM. I take it that enabling Pro Logging in the M800 will not result in logs from a *DL3 being readable in i2 Pro that's not licensed? Will data from the M800 with pro Logging enabled be readable in i2 Pro if it's fed into a *DL3 without the logger itself having Pro Logging enabled? I also believe that all ACL's have Pro Logging enabled by default, correct? I am hoping Omar'supcoming webinar on this subject will clear some of my confusion, but if you could answer these specifics it would be much appreciated. Thanks :)

BTW, why hasn't the webinar on closed loop boost control part two not been uploaded? I watched it live in bed over here in the UK, at 2.00 to 3.00 AM but my laptop battery died ten minutes or so before the end :)

Correct
And the 1 MB in the M800 would not hold as much data as 1GB in the ACL. But I doubt that used ACLs are easy to find.

Correct
If it was required for each device then the VIM would have to have i2, but it is all "i2 ready" if the end device has "i2-enabled"
