Bosch abs M4 can template

Hi.
Just trying to have correct values form abs unit but for some reason i can't.
Bosch provide can protocol but i'm not sure is correct.
or maybe i'm doing something wrong....
please let me know if somebody is using this system and have correct can tamplate?

Well a couple of things to keep in mind.
1. Make sure that the speed of all devices on the CANBus is the same. So if the xDL is 1Mb/s, the Bosch M4 has to also be at 1Mb/s.
2. The hex address has to be known. If it is decimal. convert to hex.
3. Migt need t custom cinfugre something in the ADL2/3 manager. Perhaps MoTeC can help.

Im using the M4, but I was not aware that the CAN data is available.

Yes you can have lat g, long g, YAW, wheel speed, switch position.
I manage to have sw. position and wheel speed. ( took me few hours:)) when i will find yaw and G's i can share:)

Im trying to get the Template from Conti, they apparently do the programming of it....let me know if you find anyting. If I find anyting Ill let you know

Hi,
I have seen the CAN protocol used by the ABS on the Bosch manual.
Have you already tried with that template?

I have seen a couple of different CAN protocols for the Bosch M4 ABS system, I have attached an ADL3 config with the templates setup for what I think is the most recent one. This is for an M4 ABS system that is transmitting at 500K, the CAN protocol for the system that is transmitting at 1M is slightly different.
The templates in this config haven't been tested though so I'd appreciate it if you could let me know how you get on.
I've sent the templates in a file as I have changed some of the names due to the use of general purpose channels, if you open the config you can save the templates to the correct folder they will then be selectable in your config file.

Want the speedsignals over CAN for traction controll.

The M4 has 4 wired speed outputs as well.
Pin 8, 10, 12 and 14
Wire to digital inputs for speed.

did anybody happen to see if this works? I am about to try and do a template for an M4 abs system and a new C187 dash.
How do I know if it is transmitting at 1m of 500k?
