RPM input into SDL

Postby Martin on Wed Mar 11, 2009 6:54 am

Hi,

What would be the best way to get RPM into an SDL without splicing into wiring of a car?

This is for testing aplications so splicing into wiring is not a good option since it has to be done to many cars.
Could one coil some wire around the trigger wire? Would a coil areound the HT lead be dangerous?
And which would be the best output to wire it to?

THanks

You can get test probes for multimeters that clamp on to a wire and have a sharp needle which goes through the insulation.
