I have been asked to assist with a car that is equipeed with
an M84, CDL3 (with track logging kit) and a Motec video camera.
The owner has not been able to get this system to work according to his
expectation and has asked for some check-up and assistance.
The only "extra feature" he has asked for (except normal engine sensors (from M84))
are that he would like to have his "brake point" included in the dataset
during logging. Initial idea is to use brake switch as an indication for this.
If connected to CDL3 the I/O-update is needed, but a cheaper solution would be to use M84
and transmit the brake event to CDL3 through CAN?
Any other suggestions?
As far as I have understood it, it should be a fairly straightforward task to get
the track logging to work (based on what I have found in written information,
without having the opportunity to "play" with it (yet)).
I could only found three Swedish race track as *VN1 files (Anderstorp, Gellerasen & Mantorp Park),
are there others available somewhere?
If not, what is a "standard procedure" if a new track is used?
BTW, how do the Automatic Start/Stop function for the camera works, how is it "activated"?
