MOTEC ADL and ATL Fuel Level

Hi mates,

I have an ATL Fuel Level Sender (240Ω - Empty to 33Ω - Full) with gauge and I want to connect the signal to Motec ADL to Fuel Level channel.
Do I just need to connect the signal wire between the Sender and the Gauge like this diagram that I send attached, or do I have to do some resistance pullup?

The Sender has a 12V power supply and ground.

Thank You.

Hi,

Is there a datasheet for the sender?

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response.
Attached is the data sheet for The ATL EL-AD-151 (Resistance Output).

Hi,

Wire this into a free AV input on the with a pullup to 5V through probably a 220 ohm resistor.

It works well if I connect the probe signal only to the MOTEC ADL but if I also connect it to the gauge it no longer works.

Is there any way to have the pressure gauge and the MOTEC ADL work together?

No knowing how the gauge works, I would assume that it is either pulling the signal down to ground, or putting voltage onto the signal wire, either of which will stop the sensor from displaying correctly on the ADL. You would need to monitor the voltage seen by the input pin to know what it happening.
