Hi can I use a Subaru YAW sensor as G sensor for track mapping

Hi Griffo,

A yaw sensor will measure rotational speed, and is used for calculating slip angles (typical road car usage is in vehicle stability systems). As you can have a vehicle experiencing cornering forces without inducing a yaw angle (steady state cornering without slip at either end of the vehicle), this is not going to be usable for the generation of a track map.

If there is G force being output from the sensor, then this could be logged and used for track mapping.
