SDL1 - DIG IN as a switched input

Postby bazeng on Mon Nov 17, 2014 2:21 pm

Hi Guys,

How can I use a DIG IN as a switched input?
Can I gnd the pin to activate?

I want to assign user alarm 1 to it which will activate an ouput to the ECU pending specific conditions.

Example:

DIG IN 1 = gnd
EGT = x
FP = x
OIL pressure = x
RPM = x
If all above requirements met, activate AUX output x (to ECU). ECU then requires:

AFR = x
AIR TEMP = x
activate OUTPUT -> x, increase RPM limit, increase boost, retard ign timing.

Advice appreciated.

The Dig input can be either grounded to activate or connected to 12v to activate. Normally the ground option is the easiest.
Set your Dig input to a channel such as GP on/off, then under calibration you set it for either high or low polarity.

For the other logic I would probably set it up to use a mixture of user conditions and the alarm feature to activate your aux out. (alarm function alone only allows 4 comparisons so I would combine two into a user condition to get around that limitation).
