ADL keeps restarting + damping question

Postby Billzilla on Mon Oct 06, 2014 9:20 am

I can be driving along and everything seems to be fine, but at apparently random intervals the ADL will go through the start cycle again.
Any ideas as to what would trigger that?

Also, the fuel reading is pretty erratic, I had a bit of a read of this forum and saw that I should increase the filtering value. It's currently set to 250 ms, can I go to something like 5,000 ms? I just need it damped a fair bit to smooth out the movement of the float.
A similar thing for the speedo reading, it wobbles around a bit, would something like 500 ms be better?

ADL restarting means you have an intermittent voltage or ground connection (or perhaps a shot between the two!). Check your wiring...

Increasing the update interval to 1000 mS or creating a channel that only updates the fuel level when the G-forces rare small and stable..

Need more info on your speed measurements -- you can change the update interval on the display, but you may really have a problem with non-even spacing of the triggers (which you fix by increasing the "sample teeth") when calibrating the input.
