lap gain/loss vs best lap of session?

Hi guys,
New to MoTeC, I have an ADL w/M800 ECU. I see running lap gain/loss calculation is by default versus a reference lap that is input to the dash logger prior to going on track. My question is can I set up lap gain/loss to reference the current fastest lap of the ongoing on-track session instead? The logger records lap minimum time so it would seem it should be possible to do a maths channel and display running lap gain/loss against that?

Appreciate any help, I'm slowly learning how to use MoTeC. My only other experience with data is AIM EVO4 and steering wheel display.

Cheers,
Mikey

In the absence of any other suggestions, I've created a maths channel to perform this equation:

(predicted lap time) - (min lap time) = General Purpose Time 1

I then set the display to show GP Time1 in the left display #. I'm assuming "min lap time" is updated in the logger anytime you best a lap time within that logging session. Thus each time I'm on track, the above equation will reflect a negative number if my predicted lap is faster than prior min lap time.

Unfortunately it will be another 6 weeks before I get to try this out. If anybody can advise if I'm on track (pun intended!), I'd appreciate it.

Cheers,
Mike
