In downloading from SDL using a Windows 7 64 bit computer I am getting an EAccess violation when the computer attempts to convert the logging image. A windows 7 32 bit machine can do the logging image conversion. I have installed all the latest drivers from MoTec.

I am using windows 7/64 with CDL3, SDL3, ADL3 managers, without problems.
you may find that you are trying to download your logging to a directory that Windows wont give you access to.
Windows7/64 has locked down many directories that you previously could write to.
Use the details editor, look at the venue tab, and check where you are trying to write the log file to.
If this doesnt work, feel free to describe what you are doing, step by step, so that I can look at it in more detail here.
regards,
Jamie

Jaime,
I am having the same problem with my dash. we recently picked up a 2010 Cup car from Malaysia and are trying to download the logged data from our weekend racing but it is coming up with EAccess violation. I tried changing the directory as you said but that didnt work.
When the dash is started the version number is V450 Y. But i dont see any v4.5 Y software on your website. Only 4.50 P5 and 4.51.

Using different versions of manager to firmware, I have seen causes this problem.
With the cup cars there is a CD that comes with the car with the correct version of Dash Manager to suit the car as it left the factory. So that should help George.
The logging image can be copied onto another computer and then converted to create a log file.

I have downloaded the configuration out of it, is there any reason why I can't upgrade to the latest software?

These dashes are passworded by Porsche, upgrading the dash also upgrades the configuration, as the configuration is passworded when the configuration is sent to the dash if there are any differences it may ask for a password. If you don't know the password then there will be an error message on the dash that cannot be cleared except by Porsche.

We have been busy testing all our dash manager software and have found that ADL2 and SDL Manager appear to be the only ones having this problem with a few newer laptops due to these versions of dash manager software created about 10 years ago and laptop technology advancing so much in that time. We have made fixes to these two dash managers and are in the process of beta testing these versions before releasing them. We were fortunate to have an Australian customer with a laptop with the same issues so we could test a fix which worked for him, it would be ideal to test on other laptops with the same problem to ensure it works for them as well.
