ADL Timer Setup

Postby dbm55 on Wed May 19, 2010 4:46 am

I'd like to be able to monitor elapsed time during timed races through my ADL. In setting it up, what is the best condition to use to start the timer? My thinking is to start it the first time past the beacon; thus I've set the Start Condition to Beacon is Updated. Will that work? Is the Beacon channel "updated" each time the ADL receives it as the car goes by? Is there a better way that I haven't thought of to synchronize it to the start of the race?

Hi,

A button is the best way to trigger the start of a timer. You can also setup a countdown timer for a session, so that when the horn is sound for the start of a session at the track you can push a button to begin the countdown.
