BR2 Config for ADL

Can you tell me where I can find and check the config of a BR2 in the Dash Manager.
The BR2 does not seem to be working as although it shows a strong red light when power is connected , when I pass the BRX Transmitter past it there is NO RED LIGHT.
I have set the Mode numbers to be the same on both the BR2 and the BTX
Also please advise if there are more checks I can do both manually and via the Dash Manager to confirm if the BR2 is in working order or not.

I have another car with an ADL dash and the BR2 from this car when I set the Mode numbers etc the same as the BTX the Red Light Flashes on every pass.


Rather than go broke to replace the BR2 I hope you can assist.

Hi John,

The BR2 is setup in 2 places in the ADL. The first is under Calculations>Lap Time and Number. Here you set the type of Beacon you are using as well as the code to match the BTX.

The second place is in the communication setup (Inputs>Communications). In one of the CAN slots there should be a BR2 template.

The first thing to check will be the BR2 Diag channel. If you Monitor Channels (Online>Monitor Channels) while you pass the BTX in front of the BR2. Can you please let me know what the value of that channel is and whether it changes when you pass the BTX in front of it.

One thing to remember is that if you are testing this in the garage or a similar enclosed area it is likely the BR2 will see the BTX signal continuously even if you point it away. You need to either turn the BTX off or completely cover it to be able to do this test.
