Often best to stick with what you know. However, if the new features are worth having then upgrade. I was using version 2.3 because my rolling road recommended it for simplicity - at the time I was only doing very simple ignition timing control. On advice of Motec I upgraded to 3.5.1 but now doing the full works so was worth having something a bit better than before. But the difference between 2.3 and 3.5.1 are massive. Things like REF/SYNC capture are very valuable tools and not available in the earlier version.

These are the updates: Extended data entry range on Input Setup Warning Hi/Lo values, Axis Setup tables, Lambda Calibration tables, Timer Maximums and CAN funtion Address ranges.

Probably not worth upgrading unless you want any of those features in particular.
