It's Mode 42, the same as a Nissan CR engine.

Cheers

Hi, Darren,

We choose Mode 42,and start the engine,we found that only 2 cyclinder working.
then we try to change ref wheel to 36-2, sync wheel to 1 tooth.and choose Mode 7,the engine working well.

Could you please let me know what cause the engine working abnormal under Mode 42?and how to fix it?

Regards

Wing

There could be many reasons why the engine ran on two cylinders, but not many why only changing the trigger fixed the problem.

Generally with modes like 42 the phasing of the crank and cam triggers need to be within a range to work and will be within this range with standard cam timing. The timing is correct for a CR engine. It may be incorrect for the HR engine. If this is the problem you will constantly get ref and/or sync errors.

Do you know if you had errors when running on two cylinders with mode 42?
