Can you please tell me how to wire Pins 1 and 3 of my Bosch 3 pin idle control valve (Part no. 0 280 140 509) for my M800 install on my 88 BMW M3. The stock wiring is as follows: Pin 1 to Pin 34 of the ECU labled "idle speed control", Pin 2 to Pin 87 main relay, and Pin 3 to Pin 33 of the ECU also labled idle speed control. Thanks in advance!

Pin 2 should be connected to a 12v supply that is hot on ignition on, so if you have kept the relay it was connected to (Injector Relay IIRC) leav it there. AUX2&3 should be connected to the auxillary outputs you have assigned to the ICV, there should be a master and a slave. Go in to the Motec software and assign AUX 2 to Idle Speed Control and AUX 3 Idle Speed Slave (Assuming AUX 1 is being used for the fuel pump). AUX 4 can be used for Tacho output.

Any probs drop me a PM, I have the same car and plan the same.

Thanks Steve! I did not use an Aux pin for the fuel pump. I have a fuel pump relay that will be wired as follows: Pin 86 - from C101 Pin7; Pin 85 - Motec Pin A23 (programed to go to ground when there is RPM); Pin 30 - from battery junction box; and Pin 87 - to C101 Pin 13. C101 Pin 13 is the stock wiring, ie, it goes to fuse box and then out to the fuel pumps via factory wiring. Does this make any sense?

Steve,
I have worked really hard on the wire harness which will include as much of C101 as we need. If you are interested I will be glad to forward to you what I have done to date. It is just a big Excel file.Of course, it may be way off base, but I don't think it is.

Hello There

I also haveE30M3 and it just started run the engine,
In my case态idle stabilise at 1300rpm but setpoint is 800rpm.
It seems does not work correctly.I can here the sound when just
the key on position, the control valbe moved to nomal position.
I guess it has miss wiring and has to be switch control and slave.
I will try to switch this week end and hope to solve this probrem.
