anti lag ignition cut

Postby fetzi on Thu Sep 03, 2009 12:41 am

hello,

i have one major problem by understanding the parameters for the anti lag system on the m800.
ignition retard is clear for me.
but what does the ignition cut parameter?

Now i have about 30% ignition cut and 35 degrees ignition retard but i am not able to build boost.
there is enough air from a bypass (I think so).

thanks for your help.

regards

Hi Fetzi,
Cut in MoTeC terminology means the percentage of ignition or fuel events that are stopped. If you have 30% ignition cut then 30% of the ingition events do not happen, the ECU stops the sparks from happening.

Hi there,

I think you should Open the Motec ECU Manager and Go:
Adjust->Functions->Boost Enhancement (Anti-Lag)->Fuel Enrich/Enlean Table

and fill the table with the %extra fuel that you want to inject for TP i.e. 0% until 30% and RPMs 2000 until 6000 (i.e. 7% for 0% TP, 6% for 10% TP e.t.c.).
Since you bypass air at the exhaust manifold (and you are sure that the bypass valve is working properly), propably you neeb the extra fuel for the "bang"...
