igniton trim on dyno

Postby fetzi on Wed Aug 12, 2009 7:48 pm

hello,

is it possible to trim the ignition with a potentiometer?

the idea of a tuner is, to connect a 10kohm potentiometer to make a plus or minus trim
on the dyno.

regards

You could use a multi position switch to switch between maps with set adv/retard.

Connect the pot to spare input and calibrate it 0-5V as a user channel.
Then use a spare Ignition comp table, Comp2 will be fine.
Set the axis as User5v (whichever youve set up)
Fill in breakpoints every 0.5V and then make 2.5V = 0 trim and increasing one way and decreasing the other.
You then have 0 trim in the mid point and advance/retard either way.
