How? Turbosmart Gen V eALV40 Electronic Anti-Lag Valve

Postby cotje on Sat Feb 10, 2024 7:03 am

Hello all,

I just acquired an TurboSmart eALV40 anti-lag valve for my car and am going through the docs to attach to my M800 ECU. As it seems is does not really work like my older ALS-valve (needed only +/- 12V for actuation). This eALV uses the following signals (link below):
Large Gauge Red: Motor A tending towards 0%
Large Gauge Black: Motor B tending towards 100%
5V Power
Sensor ground 0V
Position Signal 0-5V
Temperature Signal 0-5V

To me it looks like I need to use some kind of DBW to drive this valve.
Can someone confirm? Or may someone who did this already with a M8xx?

Going the easy route and ordered a Turbosmart Blackbox that allow me to feed a PWM-signal to the valve :D
