Knock module on M400

Postby MyRaw on Wed Oct 11, 2023 9:30 pm

Good morning,
I'm trying to connect a knock motec module onto an M400. the manual says to connect the knock window to inj8...but the M400 only has the option of 4 injectors..What pin can I connect to?
Thank you

Did try the same and encountered this was not working, despite the docs and claims on this forum.

The manual says:

Select injector/ignition out [#]
Select injector or ignition output the SKM//OKM is wired to.
Note: For M400/M600 Inj8 must be used.

So as others have asked, Inj8 does not exist in an M400 or M600.

And if using a 4 cylinder/6 cylinder engine with M400/M600 there will be no spare inj outputs.

Someone must know the answer?

I have just followed the configuration process as laid out in the SKM Manual using an M400 on my test bench, and all of the functionality is able to be configured, including Injector 8 as the Knock Window.

The ECU Manager does not have the smarts to hide Inputs and Outputs depending on the ECU selected, so the Injectors 5 through to 8 are visible in the Manager, even though they are no active in the ECU.

Thanks for clarifying!

Hi Stephen,

That is very interesting! I did the same and with INJ8 configured I cannot send the config to the M400. What am I missing here? Can you share your file to compare?

Awesome! Will test this on my friends car (with M400) and report back.
