wiring loom

just about to make my wiring loom for my m800 ect i am using type 55 wire my question is can i use this wire for the 8 ign coils or do i have to use sepeate shielded twisted 2 core cable

What type of ignition system do you have and where is everything located?

im using using a m800 feeding motec expander feeding 2 autronic R500 cdi units feeding 8 msd coils, all are situated in dash area max wire run would be 36 inch

The output wires to the coils should run in a different direction to any other wires, do not have them in the same wiring loom as any signal wires for anything else. Shielding would probably be helpful but I do not think completely necessary, the +/- to each coil should be individually twisted as a pair.

Hey,

I run much the same setup to the coils. The wires do not need to be shielded just twisted pair and in a separate loom and you will be fine. Keep the earth loom to the cdi's as short as possible.
