ignition signal output

Hello,

I would like to know about Ignition outout signal, How many volts does the ignition signal output normally have?
I checked with the Test Outputs command and measured the signal with an oscilloscope. I found that the IGN1 and IGN2 have a signal output 4 volts. The IGN3 and IGN4 6 volts. Please tell me if it's normal or not.

Please see attach pictures

Thanks in advance.

When outputs are set to ignition, the outputs are in constant current mode either 20 or 40 milli amp depending on what you have set in the software. Therefore the voltage will vary depending on what load the ignition module puts on the output.

Thaks for reply,

I connected it directly to the oscilloscope, not through the module. And when I tested with the ignition coil with IGN1 and IGN2 channels, it had no spark at the spark plug. how can i fix it or need to send for repair.

Paisan

What ignition module are you using?
Are you sure they are ok or not incorrectly wired?

I am using Honda K20 Coiil(COP) and during testing I use the same coil, only change the IGN channel.

Could you post the ecu config file please, and what's the engine?

Also check you have wired them correctly.
As a sanity check you could also put a 600 OHM resistor off the ignition output pin to ground without the module and check the waveform with the scope.

I'm sure my wiring is correct, because during testing I use the same coil and same wire, only change the IGN channel.

And I have tested as you suggested. IGN2 signal output around 0.5V, IGN3 signal output around 5.5V.
You can see from the attached pictures.

Have you set the ECU up for number of coils = 4?
