M800 Drive by Wire

Hello from Germany.
I want to convert my Ducati Panigale V2 to a Motec M800 system.
The throttle body has 2 stepper motors. Is it possible to control both of these via the M800, or can I only control one motor?

Another question relates to the TPS sensor. This has 2 signal lines, but the M 800 has only one input. how do I have to wire that up?

Many thanks for your help

Hi,

To do this properly with an M800 you will need to use a DBW4 external controller. In this circumstance, the use of an M1 ECU would be recommended as they have built in support for dual DBW throttles.

Hello,

I have used those throttle bodies on earlier Ducati engines (748R), using an M130 is definitely the way to go rather than the M800.

The starting will also be much better with an M130. We ran the 1199R in British Superbike on an M1 ECU and it started very well, but an M800 would struggle.

If you get in touch with MoTeC Europe (support@moteceurope.co.uk) then they can discuss the options available to you for running that bike.

Hi there,
Thank you for the answers.

@ Alen Bell, the next step would have been to contact Mtec Eu.
I will get in touch with you by email in the next week.
