1K ohm pull-up resistor needed?

In the spec for the GT101, the use of a pull-up resistor is mentioned
being used. Do i need to install one and where should this be located in
the Crank sensor wiring?? I am using an M600, GT101 hall sensor, 2 rotor 12a

Hi Guil,
When you select the Hall Sensor option for the Crank Sensor, there is an internal pullup resistor automatically enabled, so you do not need to wire in an external resistor.

I would like to stay on the same subject with the following 2 question.
1) I will be using the GS1007 Sensors for the cam and crank trigger. Using the M800 do I need to use the pull-up resistor as recommended by the mfg. or the M800 will handle this?
2) I'm trying to fabricate the cam trigger wheel. Will any of the 2 configurations attached work with my M800 and the GS1007? I'm trying to accomplish sequential FI.

Hi Tommy,
From the information that I could see for the GS1007 sensors, the internal pullup in the M800 will suffice for this usage.
Either of those configurations can be used, the ECU is essentially looking for an edge to read, this is created by either the rising or falling edge of the trigger wheel. What are you using for the Crank trigger pattern?

I'm using a 36-1 trigger wheel for the crank sensor. I have been getting conflicting information on my cam trigger set-up so was not sure which way I have to go. I'm working with very limited space on the Ferrari 308. I have the small tooth wheel fabricated and the tolerances are as per the mfg. The one with the 90 degree cutout was done by another Ferrari member.
