Mode 17 should be it. I have 2 files from LS3 both running that. When you say later type, what year?

Correct, Mode 17, Crank trigger to B1 and Cam to B2 and a starting CRiP of 80.

What is the difference between Ls2 and Ls3?

A friend of mine is starting up a corvette"'Im working on GM LS2 based motor with the old infamous 24x GM Gen3 trigger wheel. I can not get the Motec M800 ECU to synchronize. Does anyone know of any tricks or caveats with the Motec?
I am likely to resort to mode 2 (multi tooth) and hope the rising edge of the cam signal does not wander too much with load and rpm.
With ref sync mode 23 (GM Gen 3) I tried all trigger edge combinations only if the trigger mode is worth anything the trigger edge should not matter as the ECU should monitor both edges to have any benefit of the uneven timing of the rising edge and the even timing of the falling edge. "

Hi,

With the 24 tooth setup (mode 23), you run the crank signal spliced to the Ref and Sync pins, and the Cam signal into Digital 1 (there is no setup needed for Digital 1). The base CRiP is 455 and use Hall/Fall for the Ref and Hall/Rise for the Sync setup, with a 0.5 filter for both.

One important difference is that the crank sensors themselves are different and not interchangeable, even though they physically bolt in. LS1/2 24 tooth is a black sensor, LS3/7 is grey.
