oil & fuel pressure sensor query
Posted: Tue Jan 14, 2020 2:15 pmi cannot reconcile the various 'drop down" options under sensors with what can be commonly bought and hope someone can assist
VDO Australia no longer list a 10bar , 2 terminal sender unit like shown in the Motec drawings. There are a zillion $20 copies on ebay and amazon, but i seriously doubt their longevity, let alone their calibration curves
VDO do list several single wire versions , but i have no idea if their changing resistance value match anything in the list
There are a plethora of Delco and similar ones fitted to production cars, but again i find no way to link these to the predefined list, nor can i find out what pressures they will handle. I've called 2 wholesalers of such auto stuff and neither can help, saying they just copy the factory stuff
I'm also after a sensor for my fuel system. VDO say their sensors cant be used with fuel.
can anyone offer any comment or help
