Multiple CAN devices

Postby BakZamGai on Thu Feb 12, 2009 2:15 pm

Hi

I am currently running a M800 on a 2007 Subaru STi EJ25 with AVCS disabled.
Now looking at installing a E888 to allow logging of EGT for individual cylinders as well as adding some PWM outputs to the system, but am having some concerns about CAN wiring.
I have an SLM that I have yet to install and also possibly a SDL in the near future. Will there be any problems given that the SDL only supports 8 thermocouple inputs on the E888? Will the functionality of the E888 be restricted by the use of the SDL?
Any help with the wiring diagrams please?

Cheers

Hi Dennis,

There is no problem using an e888 on the same CAN bus as an SDL. Just configure the m800 as per normal to control the outputs and you can even read the EGT's into the m800 and SDL at the same time. The CAN wiring is as defined in the help files in ECU manager or SDL manager.
