Hello everyone. I am having trouble setting up gear detection on my motorcycle.
So I want to help you.
My motorcycle is trying to detect the gear using the vehicle speed sensor built in CBR600rr 15 years.
The settings are as follows.
Tgear method = 1
tail shaft speed cal = -273
tail shaft speed source= 0
delay time = 40
default gear = 0
down throttle = 20
down shift RPM limit = -50
RPM drop ratio = 0
RPM drop lockout time = 0.00
RPM drop reset = 0

and gear ratio are as follows
Diff gear ratio : 3.10
1st gear ratio : 5.80
2nd gear ratio : 4.22
3rd gear ratio : 3.52
4th gear ratio : 3.05
5th gear ratio : 2.75
6th gear ratio : 2.55

I connected the vehicle speed to digital 1 and set the function to speed measure.
Parameters are set to measurement type: speed and set to 1 for calibration.
Do you think I missed a setting or made a mistake?
Is it difficult to detect the gear when using the built-in vehicle sensor?
I am confused about this setting.
I would really appreciate it if you could help.

Assuming you are using the speed sensor which reads off of the 6th input shaft pinion then I would recommend the changing the following settings:

Gear Detection Setup
Tailshaft Speed Cal = 29.0
Tailshaft Speed Source = 1
Down Throttle = 100

Gear Ratios
Diff Gear Ratio = 1.00

If you want to calculate rear wheel speed then you need to change the Calibration number for digital input 1 according to the following equation:

Calibration = (29*(Rear Sprocket Teeth/Front Sprocket Teeth)) / (10 * rolling circumference in km)

As an example, if you have a 15 tooth gearbox sprocket, a 45 tooth rear wheel sprocket and a tyre circumference of 2.061m then you will get a calibration number of 3752.
