Barometric Pressure Compensation

Postby Rude Engineering on Tue Nov 01, 2016 3:05 am

I have an M800 OEM with a Baro sensor set up on AV4. I thought that the only setup required to activate the Barometric Pressure Compensation was to have the sensor set up in the input Setup and a standard 1:1 Barometric Compensation would be applied as a trim to the fuel. My Barometric Compensation is reading 0.0 under all conditions. Are there other setup requirements to activate Baro Pressure Comp?

Ok, found the answer with a little help from another dealer!

The BAP comp works in the background if a BAP sensor is configured with no MAP sensor. It's logical but as the Barometric Pressure Compensation table is not visible in ECU manager it is not so obvious to see what activates it.
