Traction control with different pulses per revolution?

Postby Chris Wilson on Tue Mar 01, 2016 2:04 am

Is it possible to set up ground speed reading traction control on an M800 if the rear wheel speed sensors have less pulses per wheel revolution than the front wheel (s) speed sensor(s)? I have a car with a bespoke live rear axle with a plate LSD that will be very hard to attach trigger wheels to with the same number of teeth as the existing front wheel ABS sensor rings I can easily use for TC. Thanks.

Yes. The wheel speed sensors are wired to digital inputs 1, 2, 3 and 4 , the digital input setup allows you to set the number of pulses per speed unit. Set digital input to mode 1, go to parameters - calibration and press f1 for the help on how its setup. You need to make sure you have enough teeth to get a reasonable resolution at the speeds you are running.
