Ignition coil firing order

Postby tarmac terror on Fri Jan 08, 2016 11:02 am

Hi folks.
In the process of wiring up some injectors and coil packs to my M880 and have a question...

The Motec M880 wiring schematic shows that the injectors should be wired in firing order. Happy with that and they have been wired just so.
However on the wiring schematic, the ignition bit is slightly unclear. Do the coils need to be wired in firing order also or does IGN 1 output get wired to coil 1, IGN 2 wired to coil 2 etc.

I've done a bit of searching and have seen contradictory info. My gut says its firing order like the injectors but I'd like to have a definitive answer.

Car is Skyline R32 GTR but using R34 coils with built in igniters..

Ign channels fire in sequence (ign1>ign2>ign3>ign4 etc.) so wire to engine firing order like injectors.
