What is a Subaru GT ?

And as it's a pnp unit, seemingly the crank/cam setups in those ecu's are intended specifically for those applications.

So what pnp unit are you trying to use ?

It's a M800 subaru gt 2000 .217 HP. with mode 2 MULTI teeth I have fuel. and when I use test output, INJ 1,2,3,4,5,6 IT'S OK , but IGN 1,2,3 nothing, not spark just a little noise in the coil

So you're using a conventional Subaru 2.0 4cyl turbo engine ?

What year ?

And I'm sure it has been said before, that PNP units will only work with the crank/cam setup they were sold for.

So are you using the OEM crank/cam trigger for the Subaru engine...and if not, why not ?

Edit...just read you're trying to use a Subaru pnp unit on another engine.

Really not sure you can do this ? Can you do a ref/sync capture to see if it reads ok ?

For 6 cyl engine with 60-2 wheel on crank and no sync/cam sensor you need ref/sync mode #8 and you need to set number of cylinders to "36". Ignition outputs need to be wired in wasted spark arrangement.

I dont know where the "36" and "48" cylinder terminologies came from but they have been conventions in the Motec software for many years. No. of cylinders = "36" is used to designate a 6 cyl, 4 stroke engine that is synced every 360° (rather than the more common sync every 720°)
If you use Ref/sync mode #8 with a crank trigger and set the number of cylinders "6", then we are telling the ECU that 6 cylinders would fire every sync event (360°), so you can see that setting cylinders to "6" will not work in your case.

Adam
does it follow that 24 would be the "setting "for a 4 cyclinder ?
I was working on this issue some time back and fitted a cam sensor , bit was sure there was a way around that !
oh -- that was with an M4 too ??
cheers
