Detonation on fast gear change

Postby JulianEdgar on Sun Sep 07, 2014 8:03 am

I have a transient detonation problem on fast (eg 1-2) gear changes.

Can you pull back timing based on rate of accelerator pedal movement, or is there some other approach that will work?

M400 on Honda Insight turbo.

Thanks for any advice!

There is an advance/retard feature much the same as fuel transients that should do what you need

Adjust, Ignition, Accel advance

open the window and hit F1 for info

It doesn't do negative numbers though - ie you cannot retard on acceleration, can you?
