Fastest way to get into closed loop

Postby hpengineprep on Wed Nov 06, 2013 5:00 pm

I am tuning an M800 right now and would like to get into closed loop as quickly as possible. Currently, it takes about a minute and ten seconds before feedback comes online. Is there anything in setup that could reduce that time? I am using Bosch LSU 4.0 sensors. Do narrow band sensors light off quicker? I have read about ultra fast light off narrow bands that are ready to go in 5 seconds. Will they work with Motec?

Hello !
First you much check your parameter conditions in the closed loop lambda operations menu
Post start wait time, temperature bracket etc...

second you must also check the type of sensor operation you are using under the lambda sensor menu...
Normal or fast...

Fast will start to heat the sensor as soon as the power is at the ecu
Normal will wait until the engine actualy start befor heating the sensor... which in counter part takes time but saves your sensor.

Hope that helps !
